Writing is a socially acceptable form of getting naked in public

Someone said that. It's the same with painting or singing whatever form of expressing yourself.
For me writing this blog at the moment feels like being naked in public even though I don't know if anyone's looking... I'm also a graphic designer with a one HUGE problem, I feel like being naked when I show my portfolio... why is that? Is there anyone who ever felt the same? I'm good what I do and I know that, but showing my own personal work is always been a problem to me.. I don't mind showing professional stuff, that's not my "own" work. Please I need help :)
